Modules

What the system covers

Eleven modules. Each one grew out of a single paper form, or a single habit that until now lived in text messages. All of them are available from day one — they are not sold separately and they are not unlocked in phases.

Daily report

What used to be a message sent whenever someone remembered. The crew enters position in river kilometres and direction of travel, fuel level, engine hour-meter reading and lubricant. The report reaches the office instantly and goes straight into the statistics.

What it does

  • Position in river kilometres, upstream or downstream
  • Fuel and lubricant as a level; consumption is derived
  • Engine hours as a meter reading, not a difference
  • The office immediately sees who filed and who did not

Crew handover

A handover starts when someone rotates, not on a calendar. You pick the role, and the form belonging to that role opens. The captain additionally walks through every certificate date and corrects it — which is why that list is accurate after every crew change.

What it does

  • Separate forms for captain, helmsman, engineer and deckhand
  • The captain updates certificate dates; changes are recorded
  • The office can return an incomplete handover
  • A returned handover shows a red banner on board until it is completed

Certificates

Every ship's document in one place, with a status you can read at a glance: valid, expiring, expired. Deadlines are checked daily, and the notice reaches both the vessel and the office before it is too late.

What it does

  • Status by vessel and by document
  • Automatic deadline check every day
  • Notice before expiry, in-app and as a push
  • The document list is configurable per company

Crew

A record of who is on which vessel and since when. Boarding and disembarking are entered on board, and the days used for payroll follow from them. The system will not allow one person to be aboard two vessels — that is enforced in the app and in the database.

What it does

  • Boarding and disembarking with dates, per person
  • Payroll days are derived from the record
  • One person can only be on one vessel
  • Filter by role and by vessel

Loading and discharge

Every loading and discharge is logged with cargo type, quantity and place. Photographs go with the record — taken on the phone that is already in hand, rather than sent later in a message that gets lost.

What it does

  • Cargo type, quantity and place
  • Photographs attach to the record itself
  • Light and dark cargo are kept apart
  • History per vessel, filterable by period

Requisitions

The vessel builds a requisition from the article catalogue and sends it. The storekeeper sees it immediately, and when they issue, the requested quantity comes off stock automatically. The vessel is notified that the goods are on the way.

What it does

  • The article catalogue is the warehouse stock list
  • The vessel keeps its last five requisitions
  • Issuing decrements stock with no second entry
  • The office holds the full archive

Warehouse

Stock levels and the movement ledger in one. Every receipt, correction and issue is recorded, so for any article you can see what came in and what went out in the month you choose.

What it does

  • Stock per article, with a unit label you define
  • Movement per article, by month or by period
  • Filters for low stock and zero stock
  • The right to edit stock is granted per user

Service and faults

A fault or a call-out request is filed from the vessel in two taps. In the office the reports line up on a board with three states — pending, in progress, resolved — so you can see what is stuck and for how long.

What it does

  • Filed from the vessel, with a description and a photograph
  • Board: pending, in progress, resolved
  • Who reported it and when
  • The vessel is notified when the status changes

Water levels

Current readings from European gauging stations, pulled from the official source. Star the countries you care about and they stay at the top of the list, so the number you need is there without searching.

What it does

  • Data from the European gauge network (EuRIS)
  • Favourite countries move to the top
  • Reading and trend on one row
  • Available to crew and office alike

Analytics

Fuel consumption, engine hours and how many reports arrived on time are all derived from the daily reports. Everything filters by date and can be read for the whole fleet or for a single vessel.

What it does

  • Consumption from level drops; refuelling is recognised
  • Several vessels charted on one scale
  • A page per vessel with its full history
  • A period filter on every view

Notifications

Anything that needs a human arrives as a notification — a new handover, a returned document, a certificate about to expire, a new requisition. Tapping it opens exactly that record.

What it does

  • Push even when the app is closed
  • Tapping opens the record directly
  • A bell with an unread count
  • Notices go only to the people they concern
